The people behind Grape Central are Efrosia Blagoeva, Ivailo Ignatov, and Yana Petkova
Efrosia Blagoeva is a freelance wine writer and taster with considerable experience, member of the tasting panel of Divino.bg. A Master of Arts in Modern Art History, she embraces wine as a new career after graduating from Andrew Bell’s, co-founder of the American Sommelier, wine seminars. She is a co-founder of Bulgaria’s Wine Writers Club, author of numerous articles in printed and on-line media. She is responsible for the Grape Central’s design.
Ivailo Ignatov is the youngest member of the team but meanwhile he has more than 15 years of experience in the restaurant business. Having learned from the best in the trade, possessing serious knowledge about wine and food, in 2013 he proved to be a man of many talents and started to cook. Grape Central’s menu is his work. At the end of 2016 Ivaylo graduates from the program “Cuisine Diploma” of the prestigious Culinary Academy Le Cordon Bleu Paris in Paris.
Yana Petkova is graduate of Austrian Wine Academy, subsidiary of British Wine and Spirit Education Trust, and for the time being the only one WSET Diploma holder for Bulgaria. She is a member of the tasting panel of Divino.bg, co-founder and lecturer in the Bulgarian Wine Academy, wine consultant, co-founder of Bulgaria’s Wine Writers Club, and wine judge in Bulgaria and abroad (Italy, UK etc.)
